Across the Baw Baw plateau lies a mixture of logging forests and national park protecting the upper reaches of Melbournes water supply in a wild diversity of ecology. This trip continues exploring the area off track.
Expect many hours of walking slowly picking through the undergrowth, getting scratched, and probably wet. No peak bagging or wide open views, keeping low and inside the forests.
This is all close to Melbourne so the transport should be relatively cheap $20-30 and returning home at a sensible hour on Sunday.
