Do you love bushwalking? Would you like to give back to your community? Bush Search and Rescue might be for you!
Bush Search and Rescue is a specialised emergency service made up of volunteers who aid Victoria Police in finding missing persons in bush and alpine areas. BSAR searchers come from a number of bushwalking clubs throughout Victoria, including MUMC.
On Tuesday, February 14th, at 5:30 pm, we will meet at University Square and stage a mock search, and Q&A. Current and active members of BSAR will demonstrate the methods and strategies employed to search for a missing person. We will discuss the prerequisites to joining BSAR and wrap up in time for the evening's club meeting.
