Tin Mine falls are a series of cascade waterfalls in Kosciuszko National Park (NSW).

The plan is to leave Melbourne in the Afternoon (2pm) on Friday and drive to Dead horse gap. We will then walk and set up camp approximately 400m from the road.

On Saturday morning, we will head down Cascade Firetail for 25kms to set up camp / leave gear at Tin Mine Huts (part of AAWT).

We will then gear up and ride 5km to get to Siren Falls and enjoy some canyoning (V4a3iii).

This will consist of a 2-3 hour approach, 3-5 hours in the canyon and a 2-3 hour exit.

We'll then stay the night at Tin Mine Huts, wake up early Sunday, ride 25kms with all our gear and drive back to Melbourne.

Canyoning Skills

You will need to be able to demonstrate everything in the Canyon Beginner Skills Matrix prior to the trip (see attachment). You should also be comfortable with majority of the things in the ICOPro Level 1 Manual. If you're interested, you can look at the Level 2 and Level 3 books as well.

Bikepacking Experience

It is expected that everyone on the trip are experienced bikepackers. This skill is even more necessary as we will be carrying canyoning gear which adds a considerable amount of weight to our gear load.
