Exploratory Feathertop Mission.

Requirements: You need to be pretty fit and have some experience with walking in snow

Snow is looking nice, so im keen to head up to either Featherop or Bogong to try and find some backcountry fun. I'm not particularly familiar with where the nice slopes are on either mountain so this would be somewhat of an exploratory mission. We would do lots of scoping out slopes, hiking up and sliding back down and getting a feel for the hills when they are covered in white. Hopefully leading on to bigger, and better backcountry trips in the weeks to come when we (uncharachteristically) get meters and meters of snow coverered in fresh, soft powder!

I will most likely be taking a board and snow shoes up.

People wanting a challenging hike/snowshoe or ski in are welcome also. You can hang out at the hut all day if you like, or come out exploring if your up for a challenge.

Exact route and location to be determined once we have an idea of numbers, and of skill levels.
