An adventurous trail through the Lerderderg State Park, located just outside of Melbourne. The route begins and ends at O'Brien's Crossing. 

18km of rugged terrain in muddy, rocky, and potentially overgrown conditions is going to be quite challenging, so extensive previous hiking experience is required. The expected total elevation is around 600 meters, with some steep sections. Water-proof gear is essential, along with sturdy hiking shoes/trail runners.

 

This trip is weather dependent, as heavy rain will make the trail conditions too slippery and dangerous.
