Another freakin' Disappointment Trip

Note: I will extend the participant limit from 5 to 10 if someone has a car as well.

Trip details:

• Distance: 13-15km
• Gain: 600m (about 350m ascent in 3.5km)
• Current estimated transportation cost: $16pp

As I expected, the previous Disappointing trip was disappointing: no one showed up! So I have decided to make it simpler, by walking up the 4WD track from Whittlesea instead of Wandong. This trip should now be more of a leisure, but still keeps the meaning: No special sceneries for your Insta stories, only an obnoxious name that you can check in at the end of the day.

Here's the schedule:

• 8am: Meet at MUMC Clubroom and depart.
• 9am: Arrive at the trailhead and start the hike.
• 11am: Lunch at Mt Disappointment
• Around 1-2pm: Finish the hike and we then head back. Can potentially go through Sugarloaf Hill to make a loop instead of the old way up.
• Around 3-5pm (traffic dependent): Arrive at the clubroom and say goodbye.

What to note:

• Bring plenty of water (2-3L is a safe choice), snacks and electrolytes to prepare for the uphill.
• Consider having hiking poles for the ascent if you skipped leg day.
• Stay close together. This track is known to have a lot of routes and junctions, and you can get lost easily.

After Tuesday's trip meeting to confirm who's going, I will hand out further details in the email. If you cannot make it on Tuesday but still wanna go on Wednesday, just shoot me an email.
