I'm organising an outdoor lead climbing course 30/09/2011 - 02/10/2011 at Mt Arapiles. This is for those who have a reasonable amount climbing experience and want to learn the skills to be able to safely start leading outdoors. Amount of places will depend on the number of willing instructors who will like to come to the course and help out. As there are likely quite a lot of topics that need to be covered in two days groups will be 3-4 students per instructor ideally.
Skills- can vary, if you can organise a beginner group and can find an instructor that is willing to help you out that's great, otherwise I'm trying to find people on a similar level who have a lead climbing pass with indoor gyms and am looking at tackling outdoor leading.
Skills:
- pre-requisites Climbing experience ++ (indoor and outdoor toproping, belaying)
- lead belaying experience - indoor lead climbing experience
