Super Fun Surf Kayaking

Requirements: Warm stuff

So the surf is actually decent for the first time in weeks, presenting a great opportunity for some surf kayaking down at Ocean Grove on the surf coast !!!

This is a beginner friendly trip. You will get tipped up, as it is in the surf, but generally its a pretty safe beach and you will have our awesome crew watching out for ya! It will be fairly challengin if your a complete novice but you should definitely be able to have some fun! (If not, build some sandcastles instead!)

The Plan - Meet at the boat shed early sun morning (7:00am)to load up boats/gear - Leave there at 7:30am - The drive is about an hour and a half. Were heading out early cos the best surf is forecast for the morning.

- Spend the day out on the waves (as much time on the water as possible) - Pack up late afternoon and drive home What you will need: - Bathers - Wetsuit (prefferable) but thermals are good too (NO cotton, as you will be getting wet) - Thick socks/wet suits booties are always good for warm feet :D - Lunch, snacks, water - Sunscreen - Warm clothes to put on after Any questions, you can send myself (Rose) or Ben an email: or .
