Leaders: No leader
Standard: app/trips.standards.Independant leader
Meeting: Tue, 27 Sep 2011, 7:30 pm

Requirements: Participants must have sports climbing experience/indoor lead pass. There may also be some room for those with experience in lead belaying, depending on interest in the trip.

To some, sport climbing should be a four letter word. For others, it is the best way to spend a sunny shirtless afternoon. Come decide for yourself.

Sport climbing in Victoria has generally been a fairly exclusively dedicated to those strong individuals who can climb grades 24 and harder. However, in recent years, a number of crags at the Grampians have been developed which offer well bolted climbs at moderate grades (high teens and low twenties).

The plan for the weekend is to go and explore some of the newly developed crags in the Stapylton area of the Grampians. We will be camping at the Stapylton campground.

Topos of the new crags can be found at www.climb.org.au

Currently the plan is to visit the following crags:

- Tribute Wall

- Amnesty Wall

- Sundeck

Boulderers, strong sports climbers, trad climbers etc are also welcome.
