Requirements: Study footwear and good fitness. This trip is not suitable as your first walk with the club or if you are uncomfortable with exposed rock scrambles.

Cathedral Range State Park is one of the areas severely affected by the bushfires of February 2009 and the area is still regenerating. The planned walk is challenging and interesting, and the stunning views from the top are a real reward.

The idea is to walk the Northern Circuit – starting at Neds Gully, up to Cathedral Peak and Little Cathedral, follow the ridge line and descend to Cooks Mill carpark. The distance is 13-14 km, with steep and rocky approach (elevation change is about 800 metres). There are exposed rocky outcrops along the ridgeline, so a bit of scrambling will be involved.

More info at the meeting. See you there!
