Australian Intervarsity Rogaining Championship!!

Hey everyone!! The Intervarsity Rogaining Championships will be held this year on the 13th and 14th of September in the Blue Mountains, NSW! This is run through NSW Rogaining, and will be held at Mt Werong. This is a super cool opportunity to do a rogaine outside of Victoria, while representing Unimelb. This is a 24 hour championship event, and although all abilities are welcome, participating in at least one previous rogaining event would be preferred.

There is a travel bursary available through the VRA for one Victorian team. Applications for this close on the 31st of July, so please email me if you're interested or have any questions. I would love to get a team involved!! 

I have set the trip meeting in 2 weeks (22/07) to try to get a team organised and enough time for the application, but if you can't attend due to the fairly late notice just chuck me an email. Applicants must be a current student at a Victorian university, and full time undergraduates have priority (but any age or degree can definitely still apply!!), with particular interest to individuals with high achieving scores or contributions to the sport of rogaining.

What is rogaining? 

Rogaining is the sport of distance cross-country navigation in which teams of two to five members visit as many checkpoints as possible in the specified time (usually 6 or 12 hours).
