Beginner Climbing - Werribee Gorge

We're heading to Werribee Gorge for another top rope session!

We'll depart from the MUMC Clubrooms at 8am on Monday morning and drive about an hour to the trailhead. From there, it's a 30-minute walk into the crag. We’ll spend the day climbing and aim to return to the clubrooms by 6pm.

You'll need to bring plenty of water, food (lunch and snacks), and sunscreen. You will also need to have climbing shoes, a harness, and a helmet. These can all be hired out from the MUMC climbing store for $5 per item on the Tuesday night before the trip (remember to bring a $50 cash deposit).

There will be a mandatory trip meeting on Tuesday 29th July to finalise gear, confirm attendance, and run through the plan. If you can’t make it, please contact the trip leaders beforehand.

Note: Spots are limited due to leader/participant ratios – we’ll run more trips throughout the semester so don’t stress if you miss out!
