Carpets for Communities is running a film screening of Spinning Dreams Cambodia, about a group of cyclists who ride across Vietnam and Cambodia, meet the families we're working with and learn about the country's culture. It's looking to be a great night, with 10 sponsors lined up, popcorn, slushies, raffles, games and prizes! The director of the film will also be there.

Carpets for Communities is a social enterprise which hires women in particularly poor areas of Cambodia to make rugs which are sold here in Australia so that their children can go to school. For more information, visit: www.carpetsforcommunities.org.

Date: Saturday 10th December (7-10pm)
Venue: Flemington Community Centre
Address: 25 Mt Alexander Rd, Flemington

To skip the Eventbrite fee people can also just buy them directly from Amy Tung (contact details below) and she will send you the tickets. The Early bird student ticket is only $12 (until the 30th of November), but for groups of 5 or more the price is the same up until the event.

To date, the prizes and items on auction off include: dinner vouchers, rock-climbing passes to Hardrock, Lonely Planet Guidebooks, Gift sets, a voucher for a 20L keg of specially brewed craft beer, passes for jewellery making classes and vouchers for massages or facials. There'll also be heaps of giveaways including free popcorn, slushies, food, and some of their awesome rugs!

Further details can be found at the Facebook page here. If you have questions about organising a group booking or anything you can contact me at or my friend Amy directly.
