Did you miss out on bird watching last time? or really enjoyed it?

Well, I have good news, our favourite bird nerd, Giuliana is back.

We will be heading to Plenty Gorge on another human powered trip, taking the Mernda Line up to Middle gorge train station, then walking 15km across, through the parklands to Greensborough station on the Hurtsbridge line.

The hike is mostly downhill, following the course of the river, but in some places we will climb up on banks and slopes to get a better view of some of the larger birds which inhabit the treetops and we can see better from those vantage points.  We have a rough route through the park, with an estimated 300m of elevation gain.

We expect to see lots of different wildlife including: Cockatoos, Eastern Rosellas, Rainbow Lorikeets, kangaroos, wallabies and more!

No bird watching experience is required but we do request that you do not bring a camera with flash, can be quiet when asked, and wear suitable footwear.

Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and enough water.

Details of departure times and return times will be uploaded in the two weeks before the trip.
