Are you interested in becoming a trad climber with the club? This is the pathway to learning how to climb on gear responsibly, proficiently, and safely. The course will be held at Dyurrite (Mount Arapiles) and participants should bring camping gear.
Because of limited participant slots, I will be prioritising members who are already ticked off as either a seconder or sport lead climber for this course. By the end of this course, you will have all of the knowledge to pass an assessment to become an ILC in the climbing framework.
I am also looking for an ILC to assist during the weekend in setting up ropes and supervising when appropriate, please let me know if you are keen!
Cost: $100 per participant to be paid at the trip meeting + fuel and food
Attendance at the meeting is required.
We will be reviewing useful theory and some skills that do not require a cliff.
Please bring note taking equipment to the trip meeting/weekend.
