Keen on a getaway during the long week-end? Let's go to the Grampians on a 3 days / 2 nights trip!
Program
We'll leave at 7:15AM from Southern-Cross to arrive in Ararat at 10AM. From there we'll cycle to Smiths Mill Campground (70km,1200m+), expect some challenging climbs on the way^^
On Sunday, we'll ride to Jimmy Creek Campground, going through Moora Moora reservoir. Mostly flat (65km, 450m+).
Lastly on Monday, we'll ride back to Ararat and catch the train at 1:30 or 4:20PM. We have different options there ranging between 50km to 80km, around 500-800m+
How to join?
- Be a competent cyclist able to pack your overnight gear.
- Have a road-worthy bike with tires >33mm
- Feel confident riding around 200km/2500m+ over 3 days
- Come to the trip meeting!
Trip limits
I opened 6 spots so far because of camp site limitations. However if more people are interested we will probably be able to extend the list by booking extra spots.
