Can you lead climb indoors and want to learn the additional skills needed to sport climb safely outdoors? Are you keen to come on the mid-sem trip but not confident in your anchor cleaning?
If so, this is the session for you!
We will be running through some of the key differences between indoor and outdoor climbing, discussing the extra considerations and ethics involved in visiting real rock, and learning how to place quickdraws on outdoor routes and clean anchors. This is all expected knowledge for anyone looking to attend a club trip as a sport climber, and this session is aimed at preparing climbers for their anchor cleaning assessment in order to become Sport Independent Lead Climbers.
Given there are limited places available, we may need to prioritise climbers who already have an indoor lead pass and those looking to attend upcoming trips.
Apologies for the late notice, but don't worry if you can't make this session. There will be others!
