Mt Feathertop Via Razorback
Distance: 26km Elevation: 1050m
Mt Feathertop is incredible but I won't show you any photos because that would ruin it. The MUMC hut is also super cool and the razorback is just a lovely ridge walk with great views.
The trip is absolutely beginner friendly, I am more than happy to help with setting up tents and anything else that comes up, and all equipment required for overnight hiking can be hired from MUMC. The only requirement is to be comfortable with the distance and elevation of the route. We won't be in a hurry, but won't be birdwatching either!
People with cars will be prioritised for this trip.
Itinerary
Wednesday (13.9km, 630m elevation gain)
- Leave from MUMC clubrooms at 7:00am
- Arrive at Diamantina Hut and start walking at 12:00pm
- Summit Feathertop and reach MUMC Hut by 4:30pm
- Set up camp, relax, and eat dinner
Thursday (12km, 550m elevation gain)
- Leave MUMC Hut by 9:00am
- Retrace the Razorback and reach the cars at Diamantina Hut by 1:00pm
- Drive to MUMC Clubrooms by 6:00pm
