Winter Solstice 300

This is not an MUMC trip, this post is purely to connect MUMC members who are interested in taking part.

The Winter Solstice 300 is an annual 300km non-event bike ride that goes from Warrnambool to Warum Ponds on a mixture of Gravel and sealed roads. I will be taking part again this year after having a great time last year. The route is yet to be released but here is some information about a route from a previous year (https://www.bikeroutes.com.au/rides/the-winter-solstice/). The route is likely to be similar but you should join the Facebook group to get any updates/information. As the ride starts at 6am, we will have to catch the train the day before and stay in Warrnambool over night. (last year the motel cost $50 each). If you are interested in doing this trip either in one push or as a bikepack/flashpack, then you should come to the meeting on the 19th of May so we can plan accommodation. The event is completely unsupported and each participant must be completely independent.
