If you are a prospective ILC who has some rescue skills knowledge, but wants some more practice or doesn't yet feel confident, come along this Tuesday to the bouldering area before the meeting for a relaxed training session!

People can practice skills of their choosing together and share tips and tricks, while I will be wandering around to answer any questions/offer friendly advice wherever needed.

The rescue skills I am anticipating people will be practicing are:

- abseiling and ascending past a knot

- lowering a climber past a knot

- lowering in guide mode

- z-drag (3:1) and assisted hauls

If you haven't tried these skills before, have a look at some videos beforehand, as I am not planning to teach anything from scratch. With rescue skills, there are often many different methods that work in different situations, but these videos can get you started:

I am not planning to do any assessing, but depending on numbers and time it might be possible. This session is targeted at people looking to become ILCs, so priority will be given to PILCs, but if not many people sign up, I am happy for people to practice some anchor cleaning skills as well.

Hope to see plenty of people there!
