With the stress of exams, there's nothing better than a day out in nature. This adventurous day hike is suitable for anyone with reasonable fitness, whether you have hiked plenty of times before or are just starting to get into it. We will climb up Wells Cave and Sugarloaf Peak (highest point) in the southern end of the range. If it gets wet, we will walk in the northern range with equally fantastic views.

However, it involves a serious amount of unassisted rock scrambling along exposed ledges and steep rocky outcrops as you make your way up to Sugarloaf Peak, making this an intermediate trip.

Distance: 12km

Elevation gain: 650m

Requirement: be reasonably fit and comfortable with rock scrambling (:OOO ITS steep)

please take a look at the map here:

We will meet at the clubhouse at 8am, set off at 8.15am, start the walk at 10am, aim to finish the walk by 4pm (including lunch break) and get back to Melbourne by 6pm.

What you will need:

- Hiking boots/runners with good grip

- 2 litres of water

- Lunch/snacks

- Sunscreen

- Fleece/puffer for lunch break

-Rain jacket

Pre-trip meeting essential to come on the trip. Transport will be by car-pooling so expect $10-20 for petrol per person.

I will carry a PLB and a first aid kit, for any questions pls email me at
