Come along for a beginner friendly overnight hike through Mount Cole State Forest and Mt Buangor State Park on the Beeripmo walk before semester goes back. This 21km walk covers some beautiful Victorian scenery, and we'll enjoy some frosty winter camping at Beeripmo Campground.
On the Tuesday trip meeting we can do gear hire, so if you need any gear such as tents, sleeping bags, basic sleeping mats and packs. Please bring a $50 cash deposit for any gear hire. Since it's going to be chilly, warm clothes and a properly rated winter sleeping bag is essential! Edit: extended to 7 participants as we have cars available. Expected fuel costs are roughly $30 per person.

Day 1: Drive to Richards Campground, Hike in to Beeripmo Camp (12.1km, 661m elevation)
We'll look to leave MUMC Clubrooms at 8am and drive for about 2 hours and 15 minutes to arrive at Richards campground around 10:30am. From there we'll do the 12km hike in via Mount Buangor to setup and camp the night at Beeripmo campsite.
Day 2: Hike to Richards, Drive back to MUMC Clubrooms (9km, 221m elevation)
After packing up at camp in the morning, we'll look to leave camp by around 10am at the latest, and complete the 9km walk back to the car with the aim to get back at around 3-4pm, and then drive back to the MUMC clubrooms for a roughly 6pm return to Melbourne.
