Climbing Rescue Skills Learning Night

Every climber knows they should probably learn their rescue skills but sometimes it's just hard to find a time to learn them. Or maybe you're a bit lazy like me to look at youtube videos and practice at home. Anyway... STOP THE EXCUSE AND COME TO MY TRAINING NIGHT ✋️

If you already know how to trad climb, but want to learn or revise some rescue skills needed to be an Independent Lead Climber (ILC) come along to the bouldering area anytime from 5pm-7pm. 

The rescue skills I will teach/revise in rough order is:

1. Tying off a tube belay device (atc): A foundational skill used in everyday climbing and other rescue skills
2. Lowering in guide mode: A very practical and essential skill used in everyday climbing. If you don't know it, or likely also forgot it, come and practice it! 🙏 You'll thank yourself later
3.  Z-drag (3:1) and assisted hauls:
4.  Abseiling past a knot: 

If we have extra time, we can go through:

• Ascending past a knot
• Lowering a climber past a knot

Although I will go through these at the next workshop
