Mulhacén Winter Summit

I will be in Spain for the holidays so thought I'd take the chance to do some mountaineering. I've put this up in case anyone is in the region and would be interested in joining.

Currently planning on hiring a guide for a December summit of Mulhacén (3,479m) in the Sierra Nevada range, Spain. This will be a guided trip up the standard winter ascent route, with the cost varying based on the number of people attending (between 165 and 110 Euros per person). 

Itinerary 

Day 1: Depart from Capileira in the morning and hike to ~2500m, spending the night in a Bivouac

Day 2: Ascend the Mulhacén River to reach the Caldera lagoon at 3000m and begin the summit. Descend the southern slope back towards Capileira.

 Previous experience with ice axe and crampons is required, as well as bringing your own gear for the climb and an overnight snow camp.
