The track is open! After being closed for years, the boardwalk to Sealers cove at Wilsons Prom is finally open again after a massive repair effort. To celebrate, we're going to spend a weekend enjoying the beach views that the prom has to offer. While it's going to be busy I've managed to snag 10 camping spots to allow us a weekend southern circuit loop.

The plan is to hike into sealers cove from telegraph saddle for Friday night, camp and then enjoy a very relaxed Saturday with a short walk to the second nights campsite, refuge cove. On sunday we'll put on the packs and make a big walk back to cars.

Itinerary
Friday - Sealers Cove
9.6km 265m elev. 2-4 hours
Meet at MUMC clubrooms at 9am. Perform gear check and head off.
Arrive at telegraph saddle at 1, walk into sealers cove campsite
Saturday - Refuge Cove
6.2km 199m elev. 1-2 hours
Rest and relax day! Enjoy the beach, hang out and socialise.
At our leisure walk to refuge cove for our second night.
Sunday - Home time!
18.2km 722m elev. 7-9hrs
Early rise and packup from camp. Leave by 9am at the latest.
Return to telegraph saddle approx. 5pm.
Drive back to Melbourne (return approx. 9-10pm)
Costs
Estimated fuel cost is roughly $40 per participant, and campsites will be $16 per participants for both nights.
Extra Considerations
- Water purification tablets (available at chemists) or a water filter are required
- Weather forecast will be updated a week before the trip
- Leaders will have a first aid kit, PLB + maps
- Gear can be hired from the gear store at the Tuesday meeting
