Brisbane Ranges Beginner Overnight

Want to get into overnight hiking but can't find a suitable trip? This trip may be the transition between day to overnight hike with a pack. This walk takes us through the Brisbane Ranges National Park around an hour west of Melbourne. Join me as we traverse the trail during SWOTVAC week to procrastinate the studying.

Day 1: 18.8km, 576m elevation 

Meet at clubrooms at 0800, start walking by 1000 latest. 

Day 2: 12.9km, 166m elevation 

Start walking by 0900 latest

Due to a lack of reliable water source at the campsite and the warmer weather, a minimum of 4L of water should be carried, and more if cooking. 

PLB, first aid, and trowel will be carried by the leader. 

Fuel costs should be around $15-20/ person + permit ($16/ group)
