Requirements: Willing to help out with maintenance tasks.

A trip to visit the club's hut on Mt Feathertop and do some maintenance. Come for the weekend, or long weekend if you have Monday off. It's a great beginner walk, in a very scenic part of the Victorian Alps.

Goals:  Paint the outside, sand and varnish the floors inside, fix the leaks and remove some of the rubbish from the cellar. There may also be some beer brewing for Midnight Ascent.

Plan: Drive up on Friday night to Diamantina Hut, stopping for dinner on the way up. Saturday, we'll walk along the Razorback to the MUMC hut with a quick side trip to the Summit if the weather is good. Saturday afternoon and Sunday will be mostly spent doing maintenance work. For those who have have class on Monday or other reasons to be back, a group will leave on Sunday Afternoon and drive back Sunday night. The rest of us will head back on Monday afternoon to return to Melbourne Monday night.

If there is interest, there may be the chance to walk in on some more challenging routes. Some options are the North West Spur, Bungalow spur via Federation Hut or the Northern Razorback, which is the original route used to carry supplies in to build the hut.
