Leaders: Rose B, James C
Standard: Beginner
Meeting: Tue, 6 Mar 2012, 7:15 pm

Requirements: bathers, thermals or wetsuits (wetsuits can be hired from the boat shed), water shoes (that will get wet and dirty), snacks, - MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM

Wednesday paddling will be up in Warrandyte (30 - 45 mins away) on the Yarra river. These late afternoon sessions are an excellent way to build up skills and see what this 'kayaking' business is all about.

Leaving from the boat sheds anywhere between 1pm and 4pm (dependent on peoples schedules) you can expect to be home sometime after dark, 9pm ish.

The section of the Yarra near Warrandyge provides a great introduction to Whitewater Paddling. A few gentle rapids to introduce you to the sport, with some flatwater sections in between to practice skills. With beautful scenery in the fading light, even kangaroos and koalas some days its hard to believe your less than an hours drive from Melbourne.

Come along to the trip meeting the tuesday before, and have a chat to me.

IF YOU HAVE A CAR THAT CAN TAKE KAYAKS, THAT WOULD BE INCREDIBLE :) !!!
