Leaders: Rose B, James C
Standard: Beginner
Meeting: Tue, 20 Mar 2012, 7:15 pm

Requirements: MUST be able to swim

Wednesday paddling will be up in Warrandyte (30 - 45 mins away) on the Yarra river. These late afternoon sessions are an excellent way to build up skills and see what this 'kayaking' business is all about.

Meeting at the boat shed at 330pm to organise gear and size you up for a kayak. You can expect to be home sometime after dark, 9pm ish.

The section of the Yarra near Warrandyte provides a great introduction to Whitewater Paddling. A few gentle rapids to introduce you to the sport, with some flatwater sections in between to practice skills. With beautful scenery in the fading light, even kangaroos and koalas some days its hard to believe your less than an hours drive from Melbourne.

Come along to the trip meeting the tuesday before, and have a chat to me.
