Requirements: MUST be able to swim! And attend all sessions

The Paddle Progression is aimed towards beginners with little or no experience in paddling. Beginning with the basics, the progression gradually builds up your skills and experience, to a level where you can paddle confidently.

Please sign up below to let us know if you are interested and available to complete the full progression. This progression aims to build up your skills quickly as you progress through the rivers - for this reason if you are going to participate you MUST be available for all sessions.

0.5 -19th or 24th April - Pool Session


Pool session at la trobe university (tuesday night) or monash university (thursday night). These will be ongoing through April/May/June if there is interest. However attendance to the 19th or 24th is a must

1 - 28th to 29th April - Yarra River

Weekend on the Yarra up at Warrandyte, running the upper and lower sections, giving a basic introduction to the skills you will need to make it through the progression. Camping out Saturday night.

2 - 12th to 13th May - Goulburn/King Rivers

Goulburn and the King Rivers, dependent on water levels. 

3 - 25th to 27th May - Mitchell River

Departing friday night for the Mitchell River, and returning late sunday night. 

****** Paddling Trip Waiver******- This is a paddling trip, as you will learn it is completely dependent upon weather conditions and water levels. If there is flooding anywhere in Victoria on the dates listed above it is highly likely the trip will be rescheduled.*******
