Did you know that during the Queen's visit to Australia in 1983, she made a special visit to Araps and managed to put up a number of new routes including "God Save the Queen" (24) and "Queen of Hearts" (24). In a show of her climbing prowess, she also impressed the crowds by climbing "Golden Streak" (V2) wearing a pair of thongs and waving from the top of the boulder.
In order to celebrate her achievements, as well as the long weekend, come and spend 3 days climbing at Arapilies. For those who have recently taken part in the "Learn to Lead" progression course, this is a great chance to consolidate all that new knowledge.
