The Grow West Community Planting Day is on Sunday July 15. Come along and plant some trees!

This year’s planting site will be held in Korobeit along 2km of the Myrniong Creek and is part of the Myrniong and Korkuperrimul Biolinks Project, managed by the Pentland Hills Landcare Group.

Grow West’s vision is to rejuvenate 10,000 hectares of the upper Werribee catchment, west of Melbourne by connect large areas of public reserves; Brisbane Ranges National Park, Werribee Gorge State Park and up through to Lerderderg State Park, through a mosaic of restoration works on private property.

Grow West is truly a collaborative project where local communities work together with all levels of government, businesses and organisations to achieve the best outcome for the region in the most effective and sustainable way.

We will meet at the clubrooms at 8:30am and it is a one hour drive to the planting site. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be supplied. We will return to Melbourne by 5:30pm.

For more info email or talk to Josh at a Tuesday meeting. The trip meeting will be a week earlier than usual, on Tuesday July 3, to enable registrations to be completed on time.
