Wild Koalas need your help!
If you're free on Sunday, this is a great chance to see some Koalas in the great outdoors and contribute to protecting them! The day is hosted by Koala Clancy, a social enterprise who make it possible for the public to get involved in Koala research and protection. The day will involve a mixture of data gathering (by searching for and recording koala sightings) and habitat protection (through weeding or tree planting). The day will take place in the You Yangs, a cool little granite mountain range between Melbourne and Geelong. The foundation charges $20 to attend the day, with proceeds going back into their conservation work.
There is also a scope of 2 - 3 hour hiking in the You Yangs afterwards, and enjoying some scenic views from the look out at Flinders peak (depending on availability of transport).
Trip Meeting: Tuseday 14th June. If keen, I'd recommend waiting till the trip meeting today before you buy the tickets.
