It's tree planting time again at the Regent Honeyeater Project. Last opportunity for 2012.

Spend a weekend in the Lurg Hills near Benalla, planting trees with 100+ other volunteers. This is part of the Regent Honeyeater Project, a community project which aims to restore areas of box-ironbark habitat. This project has been going for many years now, and they are seeing great results with a couple of regent honeyeaters being spotted earlier this year.

Included is a three-course meal on Saturday night, followed by drinking and dancing (byo wine), and a BBQ lunch on Sunday. We will be sleeping in the scout hall, mattresses are provided but you need to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. Please also bring a water bottle, lunch for Saturday and breakfast for Sunday.

We will drive up Saturday morning and be back early evening on Sunday. It is highly recommended that you attend both days. If there are not enough cars, it is possible to take the train on Friday night.

For more info email or talk to Josh at a Tuesday meeting.
