Requirements: You'll need to have steardy good hiking boots, good weather gear (waterproof jacket and overpants), backpack for carrying everything for the hike, good tent which can handle strong winds as the campsite on Briggs Bluff might be very windy, good ability for hiking in rocky sections and comfortable with rock scrambling and carrying a heavy pack with water for 2 days.

Hey hikers,

If you fancy a tough and enjoyable hike in the Northern Grampians involving rock scrambling, walking in steep sections and overlooking splendid views on a clear day - than this is the hike for you!

I would like to hike up to Briggs Bluff starting from Beehive Falls carpark and camp at the overnight camp ground up on Briggs Bluff. Next days hike will continue via Mt Difficult and down to Troopers Creek. We'll be sleeping one night at Troopers Creek campsite and do the carshuffle to Beehive Falls where we'll be starting the hike. Total distance covered is 13.4km and the track is graded hard.

Day 1: Beehive Falls Carpark - Beehive Falls - Briggs Bluff => 5.3km

Day 2: Briggs Bluff - Mt Difficult - Troopers Creek => 8.1km

As there are camp ground fees involved for this trip and I need to pay the fee to ParkVic at least a couple of weeks before we go, please sign up in time as the trip will be limited to max 10 people and the first 10 who pay the fee into my bank account will get a spot on the trip.

Please be mindful that this hike is not suitable for beginners, you'll need to have steardy good hiking boots, good weather gear (waterproof jacket and overpants), backpack for carrying everything for the hike, good tent which can handle strong winds as the campsite on Briggs Bluff might be very windy, good ability for hiking in rocky sections and comfortable with rock scrambling and carrying a heavy pack with water for 2 days. If you're not sure of your hiking level please speak with me at the club rooms or email me on

Trip meeting will be at the club rooms at 7.10pm on the 20th of November and attendance is mandatory unless you've a very good excuse :).

Cheers, Ingrid
