Requirements: Good level of fitness Ideally hiked in the mountains before
For hikers who can't get Friday off or call in sick from Mt Bogong for an ANZAC long weekend, I'll be hiking to The Viking from Mt Spec
The area is quite ruggard so previous overnight hiking in the mountains with a decent level of fitness is preferable, if in doubt please talk to or email me before signing up.
The plan will be to drive to Mt Spec on Friday night, walk about 1km to the camping ground which has stunning views over the valley known as the Terrible Hollow.
On the Saturday from here hike along the ridge, over Mount Despair and up The Viking. Camping on the summit (weather permitting) for more stunning views.
And since the weekend will be nearly over, Sunday will be hiking back to the car(s).
The limit is 8 people for safety, group cohesion, being resposible that sort of thing. once the trip is full please email me if you'd like to come incase someone can't make it
