Standard: Beginner
Meeting: Tue, 23 Apr 2013, 7:00 pm

Requirements: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM

A day trip to the Goulburn River, 2 hours north east of Melbourne. (Unless the rain during the week pushes the Yarra River to at least 1m)

The aim is to equip you with skills that will enable you to progress to paddling more difficult rivers.

Once you are confident with t-rescues and basic strokes, we will work on entering and exiting the current through the use of eddies. Other techniques we can work on include braces/support strokes, rolls and edging.

Trip limit:
We operate at a maximum ratio of 1:4 of 'leaders' to 'participants'.
So at the moment with 2 leaders, the trip is limited to 8 participants.

Departure:
Meet at the old boatsheds no later the 8AM on Saturday morning, once boats are loaded we will leave by 8:20AM

Return:
Saturday evening, exact time depends upon how many runs of the river we do, but probably between 5PM and 7PM.

Costs:
Gear hire $10, car pooling approx $15

YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM!
