Project Hindmarsh Planting Weekend

Requirements: Not going on Midnight Ascent.

Tree Planting Weekend near Little Desert National Park.

"This Planting Weekend we are expecting over 200 volunteers to join us at the Little Desert Nature Lodge for a weekend of fun and hard work, helping to revegetate and restore native vegetation on both public and private land. There are buses ($45) which depart Southern Cross at 1pm on Friday, returning to Melbourne at 6pm on Sunday. We will be staying at Little Desert Nature Lodge in Little Desert National Park, camping is free!

You need to organise your own Friday dinner, but all other meals are provided. There will be a party on the Saturday evening, with a band. The lodge has a bar.

You need to register through the link above, and prepay the bus fare. In the past, registrations have filled up before the cutoff date of July 12th, so if you're keen, register early. 

There is also an opportunity to take a guided nocturnal wildlife walk on Friday evening ($12), you need to register for this through the lodge.
