Requirements: All welcome.

It's tree planting time again at the Regent Honeyeater Project.

Spend a weekend in the Lurg Hills near Benalla, planting trees with 100+ other volunteers. This is part of the Regent Honeyeater Project, a community project which aims to restore areas of box-ironbark habitat. This project has been going for many years now, and they are seeing great results with several regent honeyeaters being spotted in recent years.

Included is a three-course meal on Saturday night, followed by drinking and bushdancing, and a BBQ lunch on Sunday. We will be sleeping in the scout hall in Benalla, mattresses are provided but you need to bring a sleeping bag and a pillow. You may choose to camp on the lawn, in which case you will also need a tent. Please also bring a water bottle, lunch for Saturday and breakfast for Sunday.

We will drive up Saturday morning and be back early evening on Sunday. It is expected that you will attend both days.

For more info look at http://regenthoneyeater.org.au/index.php, email or talk to Josh at a Tuesday meeting.

Note: RHP will also be running planting weekends this year on August 10-11, August 24-25, September 21-22 and October 5-6, so if the dates I have posted do not suit you, it is possible to get a group together for a different weekend, let me know and I can help you to organise that.
