This is the third of three daywalks on the first Saturday of September, October and November. The pace of these walks are geared towards moderate fitness levels but this walk is significantly more difficult than the first two.

Cathedral Ranges are less than 2 hours drive from Melbourne CBD. The planned Northern Circuit walk is challenging and interesting, and the stunning views from the top are a real reward. It starts at Neds Gully, up to Cathedral Peak and Little Cathedral, follow the ridge line and descend to Cooks Mill carpark. The distance is 13-14 km, with steep and rocky approach (elevation change is about 800 metres). There are exposed rocky outcrops along the ridgeline, so a bit of scrambling will be involved.

There is a link below with some photos. This is a highly recommended day-walk spot in close vicinity to Melbourne.
