Hi all,

With everyone being so active or interested in paddling but all the Pool Sessions usually not able for me to attend (boooo to full time work), I'd like to get us in the pool on a Saturday morning.

The pool is booked from 10am to 12pm. Lots of time to learn. We will meet at the clubrooms at 8.30am. To aim to be at the pool around 9.30 / 9.45 am with boats and all ready.

What I would like to work on is:

- rolling, rolling, rolling - nothing boosts your confidence on the river to try that move or surf that wave than knowing you have a bomb proof roll. Onsite, offsite, hand roll, you name it..

- edges and leaning - how long can you hold your edge or how far out can you lean? Important skills on the river which get you rolling because it will be a 'try till you fail' :)

- bracing ! you are about to go over but maybe you can stop yourself? Will also probably get you rolling a bit.

- trickery & shenannigans - try to get your deck back on your boat under water before rolling up.. or.. can I lean my boat over to 'drink'..

Or whatever you want to come up with.

Number of participants is limited due to space in the pool and also will depend on car availability. Hopefully we get a variety of skill levels to help each other out! If interest, we can film each other at the end of the session to provide feedback.

The only requirement for this session is that you need to be able to swim.

Trip meeting will be on the Tuesday night before. My email is if you have any questions or just use the chat feature on teamapp.

Cheers,

Anja

PS: as I am advancing in becoming a kayaking bum, I'm told to put a disclaimer on here that if the rivers come up, i.e. the King, we should go out there and paddle if the opportunity arises :)
