Requirements: The walks that we will be doing in the Croajingolong National Park are hard (long and sustained, and night walks) so it is preferable that you have some prior walking experience.

You must be able to swim if you want to hit the beach.

Friday (8 November)
3pm – Leave Melbourne, head for Mallacoota (Wingan Inlet), 1 grocery & dinner stop.
Note for drivers: Take Princes Highway, 17km east of Cann River, turn off to South, just before Alfred NP, head south to Wingan Inlet via West Wingan Road (25km of gravel road)

10pm -  Reach Wingan Inlet campsite. Pitch tent and rest for the night.

Saturday
7.30am – Start walk Wingan Inlet Nature Trail (3km return – dirt track, boardwalk and beach) + Elusive Lake walk (6km return – secluded walk to the placid waters of Elusive Lake, banksia woodlands, wildflowers) + Wingan River Rapids Walk (5km return – fern gullies and cascading rapids, deep fresh water pools for dips)
(Total distance: approx. 15km)
Walk with day pack, and back to Wingan Inlet campsite for Saturday night.

Sunday
7.00am – Pack up and drive to Point Hicks. Allow at least 1 hour for the drive.
Note for Drivers: We gotta drive back on Princes Highway towards Cann River, turn off to Tamboon Road, then Point Hicks Road to Thurra River campsite.

8.30am – Start Dunes Walk (2km one way) at Thurra River Bridge. Walk with day pack (take your bathers if you want a swim at the beach). Walk a further 1km to do another track, Point Hicks Lightstation Track (4.5km return). Retrace 3km back to Thurra River campsite where car is parked.
(Total distance: Approx. 11km)

4.00pm – Head home from Thurra River. Dinner stop along the way.

11.00pm – Reach Melbourne.

Items you will require:
- Camping gear: tent, sleeping bag, stove, cooking utensils, etc. 
- Rainjacket
- Walking boots
- Sandals for beach walk
- Headlamp
- Bathers/towel/change of clothes
- Sunscreen/hat
- Heaps of walking enthusiasm!

Costs:
- Petrol and car maintenance (group share)
- Water and groceries (at your own costs)
- Camping fees ($5 per person per night)
