Christmas Ascent

Requirements: Reasonable level of fitness to hike up Mt Feathertop.

I know you're all jumping at the bit over the excitment of this trip with the cancelling of midnight ascent. 

The weekend will follow the usual midnight ascent routine with a few little tweaks, starting with hiking just after the new moon. Hiking up Mt Feathertop at midnight arriving at the hut in the wee hours. Via bungalow spur. Be prepared for a potentially difficult hike in an area that was burnt by fires in January this year. The following evening will be the giant food making extravaganza, dress up is compulsory or you will be rolled off the mountain, Christmas and/or Where's Wally is the theme.
