Requirements: No trip meeting! This is not being run by MUMC. Signing up on here won't do anything - you need to register with SPRATS.

Hi everyone,

Great news! With help from Parks & Wildlife Tasmania, The SPRATS team have been able to secure sufficient funding for this summers program and volunteers are still needed for January and February 2014.

Anyone interested should submit an Expression of Interest as soon as possible. Applications can be made individually or in groups of 3 or more.

For some reason, I can't locate the 2013/14 SPRATPACK online.
Last year's pack is available at: http://www.wildcaretas.org.au/images/701.pdf

Please email me at conservation at mumc dot org dot au and I will forward this years info pack and application.

INFO:
SPRATS (Sea Spurge Remote Area Teams) is a volunteer group dedicated to eradicating sea spurge and marram grass from the southwest and southern wildeness coastline of Tasmania.
There will be opportunities during January and February 2014 for bushwalkers of various fitness levels. Deployment may range from 10 to 24 days, including static camping or wilderness walking.
As well as being a fun conservation trip, it is an opportunity to walk along one of the remotest coastlines and may involve free helicopter rides in and out of the coast.
For more details see the SPRATS website.

You can also talk to past participants - Alex, Liv, Mona,  James and others - all of whom will be able to tell you about their experience.
