A rogaine is a race where teams of 2 to 5 people hunt for flags placed in the bush.  The teams start together, walk or run to as many flags as they can, and return before a set finishing time.  Passing a flag scores points, and the team that finishes with the most points wins.

The main event will be the Australian Championships, a 24 hour rogaine.  There will also be a 6 hour rogaine, suitable for beginners.  More details here.  The VRA will provide busses to the course from Melbourne on Friday evening, and back on Sunday.  Seats can be booked through the VRA.  This is a much safer way to return to Melbourne than driving after missing a night of sleep and walking for 24 hours.

This is a Victorian Rogaining Association event, but MUMC will hold a trip meeting a fortnight beforehand to organise teams and transport.  If you fail to attend, we might not be able to find you a place on a team.
