BBQ for Río Marañón Protest and Kayaking Adventure

Ben Webb, a 2012 Adventure Grant recipient, will be in town for one week only, and would love to see YOU! He will be hosting a BBQ fundraiser to launch an epic adventure focused on saving Río Marañón, source of the Amazon. He is undertaking an extended kayaking journey in 2014  to raise awareness of the destruction occuring in the Peruvian Amazon.

Food and drink will be provided for a donation, any proceeds will go to supporting opposition efforts against the damming of Río Marañón. BBQ will be vegetarian friendly but he just needs to know the numbers so please comment on the Facebook page.

There may be an information session afterwards if there is strong interest. Otherwise he will be at the pub and you can have a chat with him then.

Either way just come out for a summer eveningBBQ to support a great cause and say bon voyage.
