Requirements: Daypack with lunch, snacks, fruits and 2-3 litres of water. We will stop somewhere for dinner. Sturdy walking shoes and light walking clothes (avoid jeans if possible). Also bring warm/wet weather gear in case of rain.

This is the third of five daywalks on the first Saturday of February, March, April, May and June. The pace is geared towards moderate fitness levels and will be a fairly relaxed. Advanced, highly fit walkers may find the pace a bit leisurely but if that's what you are after please join us!

The walk is taken from the Lonely Planet's 'Hiking in Australia.' They describe it as "a varied walk through eucalyptus woodland, down the open valley of Main Creek to Bushranger Bay and along the cliff tops to dramatic Cape Schanck." The cape especially is unique and stunning. The start of the walk is about 2.0-2.5 hrs drive from Melbourne.

* 4.0-4.5 hrs
* 14km one way (car shuffle)

* Medium Difficulty

The plans are to leave Melbourne at 9am and arrive back by 8pm at the latest. Full details will be decided at the trip meeting. It's a pretty long drive for a day trip so if people want to camp there on Friday or Saturday night that is certainly an option although I'm not sure what campsites are in the area. You will just need to coordinate with us and the main group. Just let us know what you are planning.

See you soon,

Dale & Clare
