A trip for people new to the club to experience what we do.
There will be kayaking, rock climbing, hiking and rogaining.
It will be at Cathedral Ranges State Park, 120km north east of Melbourne.
The trip cost is $90.
It is strictly limited to 60 'first timers' and 20 'leaders'.
Signups will open from 25th Feb, and will only be via a paper "Intro Trip" sheet in the clubrooms. Once you have paid and are on this list, you will be added by me onto the trip list below.
Logistics:
Friday 21 March: drive up in pre arranged car groups in the afternoon/evening, stopping along the way to buy dinner.
Saturday 22 March: split into 4 groups, to rotate through the acivities. There will be a morning and afternoon session on Saturday and a morning session on Sunday. This will enable you to try 3 out of the 4 sports on offer. All specialist gear for these activities will be provided, for example rock climbing helmets and harnesses, kayaks, maps and compasses. Although everyone will need to bring a smal daypack to carry wet weather gear, water and snacks.
Sunday 23 March: wake up to bacon and eggs before heading off to your last activity session. Pack up the camp around lunchtime and then make your way home, possibly stopping for dinner if you have pfaffed around for long enough.
Meals provided: 
  • Saturday breakfast and dinner.
  • Sunday breakfast.
Special Dietary Requirements: Please speak to Rodney, we can cater for vegetarians but if its more specific than that we may refund you the food component of the trip so that you can self-cater.
Meals to bring:
  • Money for dinner on Friday night.
  • Saturday and Sunday Lunch.
  • Snacks.
  • Beverages.
