Mt. Macedon Daywalk

Considering the fact that journey to French island will take at-least 3 hours one way with the current schedule (Can be even more, 4+ connections), and there has been some major disruptions this week in PT metro lines, we're changing the trip location. Apologies for the late decision.

We'd be instead hiking at Mt. Macedon, just a 51 min. ride in a V line from Southern Cross station.

It's a easy walk with a bit of challenging slopes in between. There are heaps of attractions on the waking trail, including war memorial cross, wildlife and great views. We can still make a plan to go to French island on one fine day when Metro service is back to it's best.

Meeting location: Southern Cross Station. (Platform 2: near the lockers)

Meeting time: 9.15 am (the train towards Macedon departs at 9.39 am. It takes 64 minutes to get there). The next train is after 2 hours! ( http://www.vline.com.au/pdf/timetables/bendigo.pdf )

What to Bring:

Myki card- topped up and ready to go (total fare might be around $25)

2 litres of water

raincoat, sunhat

walking shoes/runners

warm layer/jacket

snacks and lunch

personal first aid (I will have an emergency one, but you may want to take something for blisters)

Small backpack to carry it all in in.
