Requirements: This will depend on the walk selected. If overnighting carrying water I'd suggest only people with overnight walking experience. But if we chose the day walk option the trip will be open to beginners.

The perfect time of year to check out one of Victoria's most spectacular national parks! The exact walk we'll do is yet to be determined and will depend on the experience level and preferences of people who are interested.

One option is the Major Mitchel Plateau which can be an overnight, 2 day walk. However a car shuffle is requierd for this, and there is no water along the way, which will mean carrying 2 days worth or water. Another option is the Fortress walk. It also requires car shuffle and carrying water.

Alternatively there are plenty of great day walks in the park. So we could base camp and then choose 2 day walks for Saturday and Sunday. I have done the Fortress as a day walk (great!) and the Chimney Pots is also really spectacular.

If you're interested in any other walks in the Grampians let me know.
